Mia's DuPont Life

 as for me?? It's a low-key new years...no big party...just a quiet...fun night... and before anyone gets smart about having a home team and away team...you'd do it too (if you could) besides, no one has talked about or asked for exclusivity and to quote rizzo from grease "I'm gonna get my kicks while I'm still young enough to get em"...This is Niko, we are at a ....wait for it....Denny's...then we're hitting up a low key blues club (and will do some blues dancing--if you know you know) so the question remains... who will she kiss at midnight??  I guess maybe she can call Xochitl...video chat kiss for the win??

 so one of the things my family does is go out AFTER Christmas and hit the sales, you can get double the things...so we made it a thing to do way back as long as I can remember. So here I am, too near the financial district. Why the bears jersey? because my raiders suck and most of the people near dupont like the bears...so go bears? kayla looks like she's having fun.   or, at least she updated, whoohoo!

  Ok so, I'm home but here's the big convo with the 'rents. I mean I'll get some scholarships, and some grants...and my grades are good, so that means anymore help. BUT I am not trying to go into life-debt for school, and don't want to burden my parents with my advanced degree endeavors... so still on the fence between Notre Dame and Du Pont, I'll let you know as soon as I know.

 mind you I have done ZERO shopping for family ughhhhh but, on a good note, hit up some cool stores that I miss while at DuPont... kayla is supposed to keep us posted on her activties, and the big one: who is she kissing at midnight on new years!

 I'm home now, but here's some shots from our party. Of course you KNOW where I went shopping for kayla. I had to get her some trashy lingerie (it was on the deep discount rack! lol) and a new toy... needless to say, she's gotten pretty good about gushing over gifts, even if she'd rather run away. I guess you could say she picks her battles better... anyhow, here's here showing off her gifts from me: we had a great party and everyone is going home for winter break...kayla is supposed to update at least a couple of times a week, but we all know how bad she can be about it...there WILL be repercussions if she doesn't!!! but....look at these too kissing bugs under the mustletoe!! Yes, I could kayla and Xochilt in an intimate moment...and yes, I had to take a  pic. why? that's the kid of stuff that I do!!!!

 I think everyone, their mom and their neighbor was at Moms last night. Did you come too? My white elephant gift I gave was a gift card, wrapped up like a shovel. I got a coffee mug with a poo emoji in it lol... But it was crooooooooooowded. it was quite the turnout, a lovely everning! If you were tehre, help me tag you in the photo!! oh and heh..I had fun too... He's.....different.

 so, I continually hear how mean I am to kayla. Just because I don't advertise all of the things we do together--doesn't mean I don't enjoy hanging out with her. So since Mom's party is tonight, we are going shopping for our white elephant swap and manicures/pedicures. and, yes...we're wearing out ugly sweaters while doing it.

 I went to the mall to pick up a few things. I picked up a few gifts for the roomies, some ear buds for Fiona, a tri-pod for Kat and a few other odds and ends including my white elegphant gift. (mine you it's a normal gift card, but I'm going to wrap it and make it look like a snow shovel) So, I fought the crowds at the amll...but then today...I went shopping for kayla... one look will tell you what she's getting lol... at malll shopping for everyone... shopping earlier today for kayla's gift lol

 So I got like 3 emails...MIA what happened with Trini?? Who now?? hate me cuz you ain't me... so...basically...I'm hooking up with Santa... So Santa, or Bryce when he's not in his winter gig outfit...is the latest guy in my life. I literally met him at the mall as he was on his way to "work" (as Santa)...he will be playing at the Christmas party at mom's... here we are at Mom's... qnyhow...that's the latest in my love life...I'm curious what kayla has been up to with Xochitl.... and yes, we're getting ready for finals...

 at least I have been so lax around here.... ya girl got accepted into graduate school here at DuPont of course... but....wait for it... at NOTRE DAME... no decisions made yet...I am going to talk to my parents about it...but, I'm pretty excited. I graduate in May, unlike kayla, I got it done in 4 years (she'll be drawing social security here at DuPont!)

 Quick catchup...a few of you have asked "helllloooooo where are you?????" Well, here we are (well I am....) and here's a quick run down... Trini and I are no more...he really had no motivation to achieve better...so....it ended... but never fear!!! Your girl found someone suuuuupppper special (wait for next post, I promise, it'll be worth it!) First thing is first: Holiday parties... the 19th, the big invite to Mom's...there will be a white elephant exchange, so bring your tackiest...and there's band playing called Dark Passions...let's just say I know the Bassist...like real well..lol...anyhow...come one come all... Then on the 20th, we will have a party at our place (or one of our apts...to be determined...as usual...bring something to STUFF. kayla....'s stocking...HA! gotcha...and after that we're all going hom for a month and a half!!! so...come join us!!! finally put up our tree!!!!
