Kayla needs a job.

Now before anyone gets funny about me saying that. Remember, we're all just freshman.  Yeah, a couple of us are on scholarship, most of us will have student loans...but we're not trying to break out families with the extras...

So...Kayla with the new clothes, make up etc needs to get a job. The library is hiring.  I saw the posting Mrs. Schmidt put out, and though Kayla isn't studying library science, I'm sure she could handle it, AND it pays $2 more than minimum wage!

As for me? I went and applied to the museum of Natural History...

I was hired on the spot.  The hours are flexible and I'll get to handle everything from Owls being rehabilitated, to snakes.  There's also astronomy groups, history, agricultural sciences etc.  It's a place I enjoy, and they're gonna pay me to share my love of it with others.

It'll only be 15-20 hours a week, but the pay is good at $20 an hour. So, that'll make a big difference.

I mean look at it...looks cool right??

I'd go for the library position, but I think Kayla should try for it...

I mean I could see Kayla there, couldn't you?  Spring break is coming up, and we're going to have some high expectations for Kayla! But serioiusly, she needs a job. (We all do, really.)

  1. Congrats on the Museum gig. It sounds like a great fit for you. Will you be running any of the planetarium shows? I hear they are great.
A library job sounds perfect for Kayla. The library is very open and airy - She's going to be visible to everyone pretty much all the time when she's at work. She's going to need some decent professional looking clothes for the job, isn't she? Not business suits, but not jeans and t-shirt. And not clubbing duds. Some decent dresses and attractive but modest skirts?

  2. Wow! Congratulations! I wish I lived near DuPont, I'd come take a tour. Sadly, Texas is a ways away.

  3. You and the other women helping Kayla find her true self have spent great deal of time and money to hone her skills with makeup. Get her a job at MAC, or as a Mary Kay lady.
